WBBSE Board Exam 2026: Time Table & Dates (Out), Syllabus (Out), Pattern

Last year, the Education Ministry announced that Board Exams will be held twice a year. However, WBBSE has not released any official notification regarding the same. Therefore, WB Madhyamik Exams 2026 will be conducted just once between February 2 and February 12, 2026. WBBSE has released the official date sheet for the 2026 exams. Students can go to the official website and go through it.

WBBSE Board Exam 2026 will begin from February 2 to February 12, 2026. The practical exams and internal assessments may be held a little before that. The board has released the official timetable, and students are required to review it and begin their preparation immediately.

West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) is expected to release WBBSE Board Exam 2026 results in the month of May or June 2026. Yes, a student can visit the washroom during West Bengal Madhyamik board exam, but only once and with an invigilator. Some students use the washroom to use unfair means and cheat in the board exams, but they must know that the invigilator can catch them anytime during the exam duration. So, it is strictly advised to use the washroom only when required.

To perform well in WBBSE Board Exam, students should practise PYQs and mock tests. Writing answers in points instead of long paragraphs makes them easier to remember. Group study sessions are also very helpful in solving doubts quickly. Practising diagrams in Science and neat problem-solving steps in Mathematics are also important. Regular doubt-clearing sessions with teachers provide clarity on difficult concepts.

WBBSE 10th admit card has the following details, which need to be checked carefully: Name of the Candidate, Roll Number, Subject, Date of Birth, Father’s Name, Subject-wise Exam Schedule, Exam Day Instructions, Exam Venue, and Time. If any mistake is noticed, students must reach out to the school authorities immediately. Students must keep their admit cards safely till the publication of WBBSE Results.

No, one month is generally not enough to cover WBBSE 10th syllabus. WBBSE gives students around a year to finish the syllabus. However, in general, all the students must finish the preparation of WBBSE class 10 syllabus at least a month before the final exam. By doing this, they will have enough time to revise the syllabus and practice the previous years’ papers. If students prepare a timetable that includes at least 4 to 6 hours of daily study time, they can complete the syllabus on time.

Simply memorising the answers word by word from the textbook is very difficult and boring. For WBBSE Board Exam, it’s better to write answers in one’s own style and words. Students can understand a topic and then write the answer in their own words. The same question can have different explanations, and this also improves answer-writing skills. Examiners also like answers that are simple, show a clear understanding, and are not just bookish language.
